SilverStone brought a host of new AIO liquid CPU coolers to Computex 2025, and we begin our tour with the IceMyst Pro line of AIO CLCs for a wide range of gaming desktop CPU socket types. The company also added support for AMD Socket TR5 for Ryzen Threadripper HEDT processors. These coolers come in 240 mm, 280 mm, 360 mm, and 420 mm sizes. Next up are the IceMyst 2U and 3U lines of AIO CLCs for rackmount cases. These are highly socket specific. The IceMyst 400 2U comes with a pump-block that supports LGA1851 and AM5, with the included 80 mm server-grade fans turning at speeds of up to 8,000 RPM to push air through radiators that are either 400 mm x 80 mm (5x 80 mm), or 240 mm x 80 mm (3x 80 mm). Then there's the 3U-capable XE360PD, which comes with a pump located in the radiator, and a water block that's capable of AMD Socket TR5; and the XE360PDD, which is meant for 2P servers and workstations. SilverStone brought a huge selection of products to Computex 2025, we begin our coverage with its power supply range. SilverStone targets a variety of markets including servers, workstations, and DIY gaming desktops. Leading the pack is the Hela 2500Rz. The PSU meets Cybenetics Platinum switching efficiency rating, and offers a whopping 2500 W of power, with four 12V-2x6 600 W power connectors. The PSU was announced just last month, and targets workstations and AI inferencing systems with up to four RTX 5090 graphics cards.

Next up, is the Extreme 1000Rz Platinum, the company's flagship SFX power supply with 1000 W on tap, Cybenetics Platinum rating, full modular cabling, and a single 12V-2x6 connector. The FX600Rz is a new generation Flex-ATX PSU with 600 W on tap, which includes two 16-pin 12V-2x6 connectors. These boxes are meant to be part of redundant PSUs, or to be added to your workstations to supplement your power requirements. Also shown are the 2U rackmount power supplies 2U750Rx Gold (750 W), and the 2U850Rx Gold (850 W). The PDB 2-port 1+1 backplane lets you combine two 2000 W PSUs for 1+1 redundancy, supporting up to 2 CRPS, and six 12V-2x6. Speaking of redundant PSUs, we've come across the Gemini 2000C Titanium in 1U and 2U form-factors. There's also a mammoth Gemini 2400C Titanium, a server PSU with 2400 W on tap in a tiny 1U form-factor, which relies on cyclonic 40 mm fan to keep cool.More pictures follow.

SilverStone Technology has listed the Crown 04, a new home theater PC (HTPC) enclosure built with all-steel construction and a brushed aluminium finish (3 mm-thick front aluminium panel and a 2 mm-thick top aluminium panel). The Crown 04 follows the 5U rackmount standard with dimensions measuring 440 mm width, 239 mm height, and 458 mm depth. This size makes it compatible with larger graphics cards, including the RTX 50 series, and provides room for future GPU generations. The enclosure supports motherboards from ATX to SSI-EEB form factors and offers eight PCI expansion slots, allowing users to build powerful systems with high-end components.

The Crown 04 gives users plenty of room for storage as it can fit two 3.5-inch hard drives and three 2.5-inch SSDs inside. For cooling, SilverStone included 3x 120 mm fans while additional fans can be added (1x 120/140 mm on the rear, 3x 120 mm at the top, and 3x 120/140 mm on the side). SilverStone has rather silently listed its newest HELA 2500Rz 2500 W ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.0 power supply over at its website. Showcased at Computex back in June last year, the HELA 2500Rz has Cybenetics Platinum certification and packs enough power to feature four 12V-2x6 connectors. It is a fully modular power supply with SilverStone's own 3rd generation modular interface, and, as SilverStone likes to point out, offers 969 W per liter of power density.

The SilverStone HELA 2500Rz has 200x150x86 mm dimensions and weighs a hefty 4.16 kg. It has a single +12V rail, pumping out an incredible 208.3 Amps. The combined +12 V is rated at 2500 W, while combined +3.3 V and +5 V get 120 W. It comes with all the usual protections, including Over Current Protection, Over Power Protection, Over Voltage Protection, Under Voltage Protection, Short Circuit Protection, and Over Temperature Protection. It uses all Japanese electrolytic capacitors and comes equipped with a 135 mm cooling fan with delayed shot-off function that should help to dissipate any residual heat after the system powers down.

SilverStone late last week released the XE360PDD, an all-in-one, closed-loop, liquid CPU cooler with two CPU water-blocks connected to a common radiator. The cooler is meant for 2P (dual-socket) servers and workstations, and comes in variants meant for AMD SP5, AMD SP3, Intel LGA4677+LGA4710; and Intel LGA4189. The cooler uses a 38 mm-thick 360 mm x 120 mm aluminium radiator. There are two aluminium cavities in the radiator that house the cooler's two pumps. The radiator puts out dedicated piping for each of the two water blocks, the blocks aren't arranged in serial.

The SilverStone XE360PDD includes three high-airflow 120 mm fans. Each of the three comes with dual ball-bearings, fan-speeds ranging between 800 and 3,000 RPM, pushing up to 95.1 CFM of airflow at 5.2 mm H₂O static pressure, and 39.6 dBA maximum noise output. Each of the two pumps turns at a speed of 4,000 RPM. The two water blocks feature a copper base.

SilverStone has listed its Triton RX power supply series on its website, currently available in 650 W, 750 W, and 850 W versions. These power supplies have received Cybenetics Gold energy efficiency certification and feature a non-modular flat embossed cable design. The Triton RX PSUs utilize a 120 mm ICB bearing fan with a minimum operating noise of 18 dB(A), comply with ATX 3.1 standards, and support up to 2× power excursion. All three PSUs have 1x 24 / 20-Pin motherboard connector, 2x 8 / 4-Pin EPS / ATX 12 V, 1x 12+4-Pin 12V-2x6, 2x 8 / 6-Pin PCIe connectors, 6x SATA and 2x 4-Pin Peripheral connectors.

According to SilverStone's technical specifications, these power supplies use high-quality Japanese electrolytic capacitors and feature all major safety protections, including over-current, over-power, over-voltage, short-circuit, under-voltage, and over-temperature protection. The compact 140 mm depth makes the Triton RX PSU series compatible with a wide range of PC cases. As of now, SilverStone has not announced pricing or when the Triton Rx power supply series will be available in stores.

At Computex 2023, SilverStone delighted attendees by showcasing the GD09 in a retro-inspired design. SilverStone unveiled a new addition to its expansion card with the ECM40 PCIe 4.0 x16 to 4x M.2 NVMe SSD adapter card. This device supports 4x M.2 SSDs (M Key) in 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280 form factors. The expansion card comes in a single slot format measuring 147.74 x 181 x 21.59 mm and is equipped with a 40 mm dual ball-bearing fan spinning at 7000 RPM to ensure better cooling of the SSDs. The fan can be turned on and off using the included power switch. A two-mode LED indicator provides additional operating status based on signals from the motherboard and SSD. The top cover is made from aluminium and acts as a radiator to dissipate heat. Moreover, thermal pads are included.

In terms of performance, the SilverStone product page informs us that the ECM40 is capable of achieving speeds up to 7,351 MB/s for continuous reads and up to 6,845 MB/s for write speed. These results were achieved using Kingston Fury 2T SSDs on a system built around an ASRock X570 Pro4 motherboard, with an AMD R9 5900X CPU and Micron Crucial DDR4 2133/8G (4Gx2) memory modules. The motherboard or add-on card must support PCIe bifurcation, allowing the PCIe x16/x8 slot to be split into 4x4 or 4x2 configurations. Currently, there is no information about pricing.

SilverStone today expanded its FHX line of industrial fans with the FHS140X, a 140 mm model. The series had, until now, included 80 mm and 120 mm models. The FHS series is designed for a wide range of ventilation applications that don't just include computing (PCs, workstations, servers), but also appliances. The fan features dimensions of 140 mm x 140 mm x 38 mm, making it thicker than conventional 140 mm fans. It comes with a grille at the intake given its high RPM.

The impeller of the FHX140X is made of a liquid-crystal polymer (LCP), while the frame is made of PBT. Moving on to its all important mechanical specs, the fan turns between 800 and 3,400 RPM, pushing up to 222.95 CFM of airflow, at a staggering 10 mm H₂O static-pressure, and a maximum noise output of 50 dBA. The fan takes in a standard 4-pin PWM connection, and can draw up to 13.2 W. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Silverstone on Thursday launched the ALTA D1, a highly modular chassis meant for workstations, high-end desktops (HEDTs), and even SMB servers. This case was a star attraction at the 2024 Computex booth, and we covered it. The case is meant to be oriented as a full-tower, with several modular internal components that let you use the case in different ways. Don't want two PSUs? Replace the second PSU bay with a pair of 5.25-inch drive bays. Don't have a lot of add-on cards? Put that space to use for cooling or storage. There is a plethora of configurations possible with the various included components, cages, and bays.

The case's basic internal structure is horizontally partitioned, with the lower half containing the motherboard tray. There's room for an SSI-EEB (12-inch x 13-inch), or a larger specialized form-factor that's up to 15.12-inch x 13.2-inch. There's a total of 11 expansion slots, with almost 1.5x add-on card height clearance, so you can use the most bulky graphics cards or AI GPU cards with their 12V-2x6 connections sticking out from the top. You can even mount server-grade high airflow ventilation. The case includes a pair of 180 mm intake fans, and a 140 mm rear exhaust. There is a third 140 mm intake fan for the upper compartment. The upper compartment has a pair of rear-ended bays for either redundant-PSU, or single PSU, with the other bay holding a pair of 5.25-inch drives. Toward the front are a set of drive cages that can be arranged along the length of the case. You can even have a third PSU toward the lower half of the front-end. Available now, the case is priced at $799.99. You can add wheels to it for another $20.

SilverStone today introduced the FHS 140X, a powerful 140 mm fan meant to be used with radiators or heatsinks, or as high-pressure ventilation in server/workstation builds. This fan is 38 mm-thick, while standard 140 mm fans are supposed to be 25 mm in thickness. The impeller is geared for high airflow, and is turned by a high-power motor. This combination results in a stellar 10 mm H₂O static-pressure, and maximum airflow of 222.95 CFM, which it achieves at its top speed of 3,400 RPM. All this comes at a maximum noise output of 50 dBA, and a little over 13 W of power-draw (so you need to plan your fan-control setup carefully). The fan is clad completely in black, including the impeller and frame. A metal grill comes included, which you're recommended to place near the inlet. The company didn't reveal pricing.

SilverStone today launched the NovaPeak ARGB line of all-in-one liquid CPU coolers. These come in two variants based on radiator size—NovaPeak 360 ARGB and NovaPeak 240 ARGB. These coolers are characterized by a decorative acrylic ARGB diffuser on top of the pump-block, high static-pressure fans, and daisy-chained fan-cabling that reduces cable clutter. The pump features a 6-pole motor for greater endurance. It features a copper cold-plate and an aluminium chamber. The radiator is made of aluminium as well.

Each of the two or three included 120 mm fans comes with addressable RGB lighting, with the LEDs located in the impeller hub. The fans connect to each other with a convenient daisy-chaining cable that reduces clutter compared to Y-splitters. These each turn between 500 and 2,200 RPM, pushing up to 75.74 CFM of airflow at 3.4 mm H₂O static pressure, and 12-33 dBA noise output, depending on the speed. Among the CPU socket types supported are LGA1851, LGA1700, AM5, and AM4.

Update Aug 22nd: The NovaPeak 240 RGB is priced at $99.99, and the NovaPeak 360 RGB goes for $122.99.

SilverStone today introduced the FARA 514X and FARA 314X tower-type cases designed for space and high air-flow. The FARA 314X is a Micro-ATX tower, while the FARA 514X is an ATX mid-tower. Both cases are characterized by their mesh front intakes, and large included 140 mm intake fans, besides an included 120 mm exhaust fan); a tempered glass left side-panel, and room for graphics cards up to 36.5 cm in length, along with CPU coolers up to 17.3 cm in height. Both cases feature a horizontally partitioned layout, with the upper compartment holding the spacious motherboard tray, and the lower one with a PSU with up to 21.7 cm of room for the spaghetti.

The FARA 314X (model: SST-FA312X-BG) measures 220 mm x 410 mm x 412.4 mm (WxHxD), dry-weighing 5.76 kg. It offers 4 expansion slots, and supports Micro-ATX (or smaller) motherboard form-factors. Fan mounts include either three 120 mm or two 140 mm front intakes, which hold onto the two included 140 mm ARGB fans; and two 140/120 mm top exhausts, besides the obligatory 120 mm rear exhaust. Your radiator options include a 280 mm x 140 mm (or smaller) along the front intake, and another 280 mm x 140 mm (or smaller) along the top exhaust. The only drive bay is a 3.5-inch/2.5-inch in the bottom compartment, and there are three aditional 2.5-inch mounts along the motherboard tray. Front-panel connectivity includes two USB 3.x type-A, a 3.5 mm audio jacks.

While Silverstone's Computex 2024 booth is dominated with a new line of cases for AI workstations and servers, they also had several new white-themed gaming PC cases. These include the FARA 515XR, FARA 514X, SETA H2, and SETA H2M. The FARA 515XR is a mid-tower case for conventional-sized ATX setups, without the side-facing fan vents. Your radiator mounting options include a 360 mm (or smaller) radiator along the front panel, and a 280 mm (or smaller) along the top panel. You get four 120 mm RGB LED illuminated fans with the case. Clearances include graphics cards up to 36 cm in length, and CPU coolers up to 16.4 cm in height. The FARA 515X is a variation to this case, with 20 mm additional width, and the flat front panel making way for a trapezoid one, which has fine perforations.

Next up, is the SETA H2M, a Micro-ATX variant of the SETA H2, which retains wide proportions of the original, so you could give it CPU coolers as tall as 180 mm, and a 120 mm rear fan. With the right floor planning, you can get a 360 mm radiator mounted along its front mesh intake that resembles the trapezoid intake of the FARA 515X; besides an additional 280 mm radiator along its top exhaust. The SETA H2 is its larger sibling with not just similar width and clearances, but also room for up to six 3.5-inch drive caddies that can be individually detached. So this case should favor those with lots of local storage.

As Moore's Law buckles, and cutting-edge CPUs and GPUs get more power-hungry, we're an upward trend in PSU Wattage across all brands at Computex. Silverstone is no exception, especially because the company brought a large selection of workstation and server cases to their booth this year, targeting the AI development and acceleration markets, particularly by startups and SMBs. The Hela-R Platinum series consists of medium-thru-high Wattage fully-modular PSU models.

The range starts at 750 W, with the Hela 750R Platinum, and goes all the way up to the Hela 2500R Platinum, with 2.5 kW on tap! The 750 W to 1600 W models use single fat +12 V rail designs, while the 2500 W model uses multiple +12 V rails. It also puts out multiple 600 W 16-pin power connectors. As their names suggest, all models in this series offer 80 Plus Platinum efficiency.

ASUS today announced the innovative concepts and upcoming designs that it will be demonstrating at its Computex 2024 booths, including AI PCs, prototype AMD and Intel motherboards, as well as fresh CPU coolers.

AI PC-ready hardware
With all the groundbreaking AI-powered apps and features available today, and many more on the horizon, PC enthusiasts the world over are searching for hardware that will let them run AI tools on their own AI PC in addition to using cloud-based subscriptions. At Computex 2024, ASUS is showing off the PC hardware that builders can leverage to explore the future of this revolution. An AI PC is an entire platform ready to unlock advanced AI features—in turn, revolutionizing the way that people build, customize, and use such a device.

Silverstone in its 2024 Computex booth showcased the brand's pivot toward premium cases meant for workstations and servers used in the development or acceleration of AI applications. These cases span across industry-standard rackmount form-factors, as well as full-towers, so SMBs and startups could have on-floor AI acceleration machines set up. For AI on the edge, Silverstone showcased the GM1000 2U Gold, a 1000 W redundant PSU, the XE02-4677, a 2U cooling solution for Socket LGA4677, and the RM22-312 2U chassis.

For the general purpose server and SMB AI acceleration markets, the company showcased its RM44 4U case that can be used both as a tower and in a rack, The XE360-4677, which is a 360 mm x 120 mm AIO liquid CPU cooler for LGA4677, and the Gemini 900A Gold, an 80 Plus Gold rated 900 W redundant power supply. AI development systems see the lion's share of Silverstone's signature aesthetics and innovations, as these cases blur the lines between high-end desktops and workstations. The Alta D1 is an ATX full-tower, which can hold an SSI-EEB motherboard with up to 11 expansion slots for multiple GPUs, provision for either redundant PSUs or 5.25-inch cages that can be used as mounts for multiple SSDs; and provision for a couple of large radiators, to cool the CPU.

Besides innovative cases for AI development and acceleration, Silverstone also showed off some interesting storage enclosures in the 5.25-inch format, to be used with some of the above cases that have 5.25-inch drive bays, such as the Alta D1. The FSM08-NS lets you connect up to 8 M.2 NVMe drives, each with PCIe Gen 4 x4 wiring. The backend of this enclosure plugs into eight SDD86423 Slim SAS 4i connectors. The FS304-Lite takes up three 5.25-inch drive bays, and puts out 4x 3.5-inch SAS or SATA drives, with its backplane supporting SATA or SAS. It even has a 92 mm cooling fan. The ECM30 is a PCI-Express 4.0 x16 to 4x M.2-22

The TS434-10G is a USB 3.2 desktop DAS enclosure. It features four 3.5-inch caddies with SATA 6 Gbps backplanes, which are driven by an ASMedia ASM2074 controller, which is connected to an ASM235CM bridge chip. This bridge chip connects to the host over USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps). There are no hardware RAID formats supported. The MS12-40 is an M.2 USB4 enclosure. You install an M.2-2280 NVMe SSD inside, which is driven at PCI-Express 3.0 x4 (32 Gbps) speeds. An ASMedia ASM2564 bridge chip connects this to 40 Gbps USB4 over a single type-C cable. The enclosure is made of chunky extruded aluminium, its body doubles up as a heatsink.

SilverStone today introduced the Air Slimmer 140, a slimline 140 mm case fan. The fan comes with a thickness of just 15.5 mm, compared to the 25 mm that's typical of 140 mm fans. This should come in handy if you choose a thicker radiator, or are building an SFF machine. The fan features a copper fluid dynamic bearing, although the company didn't specify endurance numbers. The 9-blade impeller features what SilverStone brands as Shark Force patterns, which improve noise characteristics.

The fan takes in 4-pin PWM input, and supports ultra-low speeds. It turns at speeds ranging between 0 and 1,700 RPM, with a maximum airflow of 82 CFM, at 2 mm H₂O static pressure, and 33 dBA maximum noise. It includes cables for daisy-chaining. There are two key variants of the fan, the base variant comes with a black impeller and lacks any lighting, and then there's the Air Slimmer 140 ARGB, which has a white impeller and 9 LEDs studded in the hub. It takes in 3-pin ARGB input for the lighting. The all-black version is priced at $19.99, and the ARGB version at $24.99.

SilverStone today introduced the XE360-TR5, an all-in-one liquid CPU cooler for AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000-series processors in the Socket TR5 and SP6 packages. The cooler's design consists of a 1U-friendly waterblock, and a 360 mm radiator that integrates the pump and coolant reservoir, which is connected to the block over Nylon-sleeved tubing. The block features a nickel-plated copper main material, with metal alloy top. The cold-plate makes contact with the entire IHS of an sTR5/SP6 processor, providing cooling to all twelve CCDs and the large central sIOD. The pump integrated with the radiator is made as thin as possible using a 6-pole motor.

The 360 mm x 120 mm radiator is 28 mm-thick, and is made of aluminium, and connects to the water block over a 42 cm-long tubing. Each of the three included 120 mm fans turns at speeds ranging between 600 RPM to 2,800 RPM, pushing up to 87.72 CFM of airflow, at a radiator-friendly 3.09 mm H₂O static pressure, and 46 dBA maximum noise output. The company didn't reveal pricing.

SilverStone today introduced the XE04-SP6P, a CPU cooler designed for AMD server/workstation sockets sTR5 and SP6, meant for those that use Ryzen Threadripper chips as server processors in rackmount cases as tall as 4U. The cooler is designed for thermal loads as high as 350 W, but is an aluminium fin-stack heatsink that measures 130 mm x 119 mm x 126 mm (WxHxD). This may look rather small for its thermal capacity in comparison to some desktop D-type coolers; but this is a server cooler, the desktop standards for fan noise go out the window, and a high-powered 92 mm fan is used to ventilate this thing. The cooler's capacity is mainly thanks to the high airflow.

The 92 mm high-powered fan comes pre-installed in a cavity between the fin-stack. It turns at speeds of up to 5,000 RPM, pushing 77.7 CFM of airflow at a phenomenal 10.67 mm H₂O static pressure, and a noise output of 43 dBA. The fan features double-ball bearings, and is rated for 90,000 hours. The nickel-plated copper base comes with a pre-applied thermal compound.
